A trio of rock musicians hailing from Birmingham, England, the Mexicolas first came to national attention as the subject of a television documentary on Channel 4.
Band mates Jamie Evans (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Del Carter (bass), and Tim Trotter (drums and percussion) released their first single, "Shame," in 2007, and followed it up with the Kerrang magazine-praised track "Come Clean." In the midst of single success, the band toured England, and began recording a full-length debut. Signed to indie label Exile, the Mexicolas released their first album, X, in February of 2008. ~ Chris True
